Book Review: When the Sun Goes Down by Erin Noelle

Jazzy is seriously behind on her reviews!! Erin Noelle has quickly, I mean super quickly, become one of my favorite authors. Literally, she took over my life one weekend and then I had to stalk her on Facebook. I thought it was only fair since she had me SOBBING for an entire weekend! Love this woman! OK, back to When the Sun Goes Down.

I love Erin for her Book Boyfriend Series. When the Sun Goes Down is equally as good. It is just different. YES, where there is Erin Noelle there will be book boyfriends, no doubt. There is a whole cast of characters, Kat, Leo, Trina, and Lucca to name a few. Each so different yet intertwined in some way. If you like spicy reads, romance, intricate plots to take down evil, love, sacrifice and some sadness then this book is for you. I am #TeamLucca. However, Erin always makes it so hard to choose just one guy. She is turning all her readers into slore's or slamp's or something because lately I'm just saying #TeamSandwich.

I even created the Tony's Rules t-shirt. She came in and blew my mind and made me realize how crazy I was! I had the honor of meeting her and really no amount of words could ever do that justice! For all things Jazzy & Aleatha click here.

Now, all my gushing aside, WAIT until you read this! I promise you will be #1clickingthatbadboy ASAP. As a matter of fact, you should preorder it right now.

Are you ready to re-enter the mind of the delectable Anthony Rawlings? I will not give anything away but really I LOVE TONY. I will share my favorite quotes after 5/20 so this way I won't spoil anything. After reading this series, anyone else out there reference Tony in real life? In book boyfriend land? I think I am permanently scarred. There is a thin line between love and hate and boy do I love this man.

Please leave a comment on this post for a chance to win a SIGNED copy of one of Aleatha's books. I will also be giving away 3 ecopies of BHE Convicted: The Missing Years as soon as it is available!

Book Review: Chartreuse by T.E. Ridener

Let the record state that T.E. Ridener is one of my favorite authors of all time!

5 stars!

If I were you, my blog readers, I would start to question Jazzy sometimes. I normally give 4-5 stars for each book I read. But let me tell you why. I am VERY picky in selecting what I read. I don't read what I don't like. I'm not just giving away stars without the author earning them. There have been books that are just not for me. Even some very popular ones that everyone loves. One in particular I just stopped reading because I hated it soooo much. But I didn't bash it. I did  not share that negativity. I choose to promote what I love. End of rant!!!

Back to Chartreuse. First off, this is a M/M romance. You know what? That doesn't even matter. The story is so much deeper than that. It is a story about love and acceptance. This book melted my heart, like butter. In theory, no mater what your sexual orientation we all face the same issues in love. This is no different for Rowan and Kasen. I just want to give Kasen a hug! He is the sweetest. Don't get me started on Rowan! He is mature and patient and real. These 2 stole my heart right away. Unfortunately, they live in a tiny little town. You can see where this is going. Is their love strong enough to overcome the obstacles they must face? This is a must read!

Kasen Reed was a lonely guy with hardly any friends. Sheltered by his domineering, cynical mother, he never gained much of a social status and he’s never known true affection. At the age of 19, he finally moves out to start his own life and he has no idea where he’s going from here. Rowan Kelly moved to the tiny town of Chartreuse, Alabama in hopes of starting anew. After a messy breakup that lingers over his head, and his heart, he believes he’s finally found the perfect place to open his clinic and do what he loves best; helping animals. Despite how picture perfect the quaint little town seems, the 26 year old feels like something is missing….. Two lonesome hearts will have a chance encounter in a town that doesn’t seem to be ready for the acceptance of love equality, but will it stop them from being together?
100 % of proceeds made during the blog tour (May 10 - May 23) will be donated to The Trevor Project and the Ronald McDonald House Charities

T.E. Ridener entered the world in the magnificent year of 1985. She's an avid reader, crazy writer, and photoshop addict. She started writing stories at a young age, and will probably do so until she takes her last breath. Forever the daydreamer, not a day passes in which Miss Ridener isn't working on something book related. Her books may be a work of fiction, but there is a lot of truth in each one.
Creating relatable characters and believable storylines mixed in with make-believe is what she is best known for. She always includes a strong female lead, a compassionate male, and tons of every day events that readers will be able to connect with. Miss Ridener is a lover of music, movies, TV shows, and her family.
During the months of November and December, she participates in the charity she helped create called Random Acts of Christmas, an online program geared towards making Christmas happen for families in need. In 2013, they gave over $69,000 in gifts to kids who otherwise would not have had presents to open on Christmas morning. Coming from a childhood of poverty, T.E. understands that life isn't always easy and she has experienced living from paycheck to paycheck. This has fueled her drive to always lend a helping hand in every form possible. She is very active in the group "Books for Troops", a program designed to send ebooks and paperbacks to soldiers currently serving overseas.
T.E. Ridener is the youngest of 3 children, a surviving twin, and an extremely proud aunt. She claims to be married to her books and the characters she creates are her kids. Thus far, she has produced three ongoing series entitled Blood Betrayal (vampires), The Kadenburg Shifters Series (bear-shifters), and The Descendants (elementals). There are loads more and new ones popping up each day. She LOVES her fans and readers, and not a single one of them appear as a number to her. She knows that without them, she wouldn't be where she is today. Every day is a new possibility, a new adventure, and a new dream. Life doesn't get any better than that.

Book Review: Pure Will by Kristi Pelton

Hot Damn! This book was just GREAT! It is like a romance/comedy/action/drama category lol! Will Denton will steal your heart right away. He is like the playboy that you don't want to fall for but really you never had a chance of not falling for him. This is a must read! FYI-He steals hearts AND melts panties off-like butter! He is one feisty man and you will love every second of it. Oh! His parents-can they be any sweeter! 5 Stars!!! or pull ups lol

OK, Camden and Kate are best friends. Kate gets all the guys and Cam is the bookworm. Will is just a freak of nature-hot, smart, sexy... Working on his masters, and being an elite crossfitter, he is quite the ladies man. That all changes once he notices Cam. Cam has had a dark past and is very guarded. Will she allow him to save her? Will she break him from his Pretty Woman routine of physical pleasure without intimacy?

I attempted to pick out some of my favorite quotes but that would be the whole book! Her writing is great!!!

  • "Clearly I had not charmed this girl even in the slightest. Finally, a challenge! Boom...I was going to fuck this girl."
  • "Wow, Will. You just made three whole complete sentences. Is that a record?"
  • HAM-yes like the Jay Z & Kanye song or as will said HAMF
  • "Do you ever wonder what life would have been like if you'd gotten enough oxygen at birth?"
  • "It wouldn't matter to me if Megan Fox wanted my schlong at this point."
  • A proud smile spread over my face. Her dad needed to know who I was and that he could be relieved of duty...
