After True Blood started back up this past season (season 6) I decided I needed to read the books. I was not happy at all with Bill's behavior. You see, I'm a sucker for the classic romance. I liked Bill from Day 1 (reminds me of Edward....) but these past 2 seasons he has really been making me angry. I need to know whats going on. I started wondering....hmmm, if the series is based on the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris then if I read them all maybe I'll know whats to come on True Blood. Smart idea huh? Yeah, well, the series is 13 books long! So I am doing a mixture of audiobooks/ebooks and rewatching the seasons past. I will read/listen to one book then rewatch that season and compare the 2. Here goes for Season 1 and the first book, Dead Until Dark. (well, this one might be short because I cant find my notes, grrr)
- Tara in not in book 1, hence no momma issues, no hooking up with Sam
- Jason isn't addicted to V, hence he and the vegan chick didn't kidnap the vampire dude and chain him in the basement
- Bill didn't create Jessica (yet?)
- Lafayette isn't a V dealer/prostitute/or involved with online porn doings
- Sookie is a virgin until she meets Bill, I am not sure if it is that obvious in True Blood as it is in the book
